Dance school is in the medals

THE Shelley-Anne Campbell, School of Highland Dance competed in their first ever Highland dance Competition on Saturday, March 27 in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh.

This was the first outing for the Claudy based Dance School and their tutor Miss Shelley-Anne Campbell was delighted with their results. In total the Dance School claimed no fewer than 19 medals and two trophies. A special mention needs to go to Gillian Montgomery, who at only aged 14 recieved five first place medals and one second place medal as well as being awarded the overall trophy for her group and a special fling trophy.

The Shelley-Anne Campbell School of Highland Dance was formed in November 2007, the dancers practice each week in the S.A.L.T. Community Hall in Claudy on a Wednesday night at 7pm and the school currently has a membership ranging from four years to 16 years.
