Dance success

The students who entered the Championships held in Brean Sands in Bristol were successful in a selection of dances that included couples, individuals and pairs in both children and adult categories, some of the dancers also entered two or three different categories.

Dearbhla Hogan had every reason to celebrate as she lifted three European titles.

The dance school which was founded by Alita Breen, meets every Tuesday night at 7.30pm at Sarsfields Hall in Derrytrasna.

Students experience a range of different dances every week from Ballroom, Country and Hip-Hop to name but a few.

Business Manager Alita, from Laurencetown, also trains students for competitions and takes dance lessons, both in Laurencetown and Derrytrasna.

Youth and children's classes run in Sarsfields from 7.30pm until 8.30pm every Tuesday evening, with adult classes running from 8.30pm until 10pm.
