Dance your socks off at Christ Church

On Saturday August 22, Lisburn born dance artist Erin Shanks will be returning to the city to host a very special dance-a-thon fundraiser, which promises to be a fun filled event that will be sure to keep you smiling whilst working up a bit of a sweat.

The event is to raise funds for amazing woman and local resident Heather McHenry and her family, as they try to raise money for a very specialised operation in Germany to treat Heather’s diagnosis of a rare form of cancer.

Entry will be pay by donation on the day and will include some light bites and refreshments to keep the dancers energised. However, participants are advised to being their own lunch and water bottle.

No previous experience is required, with the main goal being for everyone just to have a lot of fun as they boogie on down for a great cause. The recommended age for this event is 13-50+

The day will follow a variety of styles and genre’s of dance accompanied by movement games and ice breakers to many of your favourite tunes.

Participants may take breaks and come and go as they please to the event, however the main aim is to have as many people dancing throughout the event as possible.

Erin will lead the fundraiser in the main hall of Christ Church Lisburn, where doors will be open for members of the public to come and dance from 10.30am-4.30pm.
