Dangerous driving charge

Daniel Aidan Barry from Rathview appeared at a Preliminary Enquiry at last week’s local Magistrates Court.

The twenty-five year-old is further charged with aggressive vehicle taking and causing damage, aggressive causing damage to a vehicle and possession of a Class B drug.

The offences allegedly occurred on 31 May last at Loughbrickland Road, Gilford.

A PPS Prosecutor said that on the basis of the papers before the court there was a prima facie case to answer.

Barry was returned to Newry Crown Court on his own bail on 13 May.
