Dangerous slide removed
WORKERS are in the process of removing the old slide and its support structure at Swatragh play area, Magherafelt District Council was told.
The stainless steel slide, which had been installed about 30 years ago, was in a poor state of repair.
A recent attempt had been made by vandals to dislodge a lower section of the slide leaving the apparatus in an extremely dangerous conditions.
