Daniel Hill wins national award

DANIEL Hill from SPAR Lambeg, Lisburn, has been announced best sales assistant in the multiple symbol sector and is through to the finals of the Sales Assistant of the Year Awards 2012.

The national competition, organised by Convenience Store magazine, celebrates the very best that the UK has to offer in terms of customer service, community interaction, and business achievement.

To reach the finals, Daniel had to submit a written entry, before a judging visit and face-to-face interview were carried out at his workplace.

“Daniel has wowed the judges with his tremendous commitment to customer service and thorough professionalism at work,” said Convenience Store editor David Rees.

“We look forward to welcoming him to our finals ceremony in London where the judges will have an extremely difficult job to decide which one of our five outstanding category winners will gain the prestigious title of Sales Assistant of the Year 2012,” he added.

The awards take place on November 13 at the Dorchester Hotel in London where Daniel will be awarded £500 in prize money for reaching the finals, and have the chance to win a further £500 if he is crowned the overall winner.

On the morning of the awards Daniel and four other sector winners will be interviewed by a judging panel before one of them is awarded Sales Assistant of the Year at a special ceremony, hosted by TV personality Cheryl Baker.
