Dark Hedges makes the headlines all over the world!

The Dark Hedges in Armoy is making the headlines yet again - but this time in Switerland, San Francisco, Australia, Malta and New York.

Recently the famous trees has appeared in the Basel newspaper in Switerland, the Times of Malta, Albany Times Union in New York, Australian Network News, The Blade in America and the San Francisco press...to name but a few.

Located on the Bregagh Road, the Dark Hedges are one of the most photographed landmarks in Northern Ireland, bringing Game of Thrones fans the world over and making it one of the biggest tourists attractions in the local area.

However they hit the headlines even more so recently after the devastating winds of Storm Gertrude brought down three of its majestic beech trees a few weeks back and only last week after white street marking were painted, and then removed, from the middle of the road.

This global attention really has put Northern Ireland and ‘little’ Armoy on the world-wide map - lets wat out for even more visitors coming to the local area this year!
