Darts league gets underway

LAST Thursday night the league season got underway in the Eglinton & District Darts League, sponsored by Avis Rent A Car.

The least darts of the week went to Niall Logue (Macons) with 19 darts, Conrad Watson (Rising Sun A) 20 darts, Steven Doherty (Rising Sun A) 20 darts, Sean Logue (Rising Sun A) 21 darts, Brendan McGuinness (Donaghys) 21 darts and Colm Miskelly (Macons) also 21 darts.

Suprisingly there were no maximum scores and the highest checkout was from Colm Miskelly (Macons) with a 127 finish followed by Sean Logue (Rising Sun A) with a 116 finish.

The season is very early days so the league table won't really be a true reflection until a few games in and the general play will improve

to the high standard expected from this league.

n The first monthly darts meeting is on Monday 20th September in the Eglinton Cricket Club at 8:30pm sharp and all bars in the league must have at least one representative in attendance or they will receive an automatic 3 point deduction in league points as agreed at the AGM meeting.
