Dasha returns to Donemana

Another year has gone by and Dasha Tsalko has returned to spend a month with Maurice and Margaret Britton at Berryhill Close in Donemana.

Maurice and Margaret do an excellent work in giving Dasha the opportunity to experience life in Northern Ireland.

Dasha comes from a high radiation village in Belarus.

She is now 11 years old and this is her fourth year spending a month with Maurice and Margaret.

Maurice and Margaret said they see a big difference in Dasha from year to year. She is healthier, has a better appetite and this year her English is very good. She also keeps in touch by phone from one year’s visit to the next year’s visit.

Maurice and Margaret have thanked everyone who gave them donations and who helped with the Bowls’ Fun Day in March. The money raised went to The Chernobyl Children’s Fund which brings these children to Ireland.

They also thank friends, neighbours and everybody who entertained Dasha and took her to various events and venues while she was in Donemana.
