Saturday, August 11 - Craigyhill Community Group’s family fun day from 1pm-4pm at the Green opposite the Linn Road Community Centre. Lots of activities including bouncy castles, zorbing, tombola, face-painting, petting farm, music from Chaine FM, barbeque, tea and cake stall, raffles and much more. All welcome.

saturday, August 11 - Stephen Beckett (“Keepin it Country”) will be playing in the Wellington Rec & Social Club from 9om - late. Proceeds for the women’s section.

saturday, August 18 - Hog roast and barn dance in Larne Bowling and Lawn Tennis Club, organised by the Larne fundraising branch of the RNLI. Food from 7,30pm by Truly Scrumptuous and music by the Alistair Scott Ceilidh Band and Caller. Admission by ticket, cost £12.50, available by phoning 07802 201361, 07516 496945 or 07751 858115.

saturday, august 18 - Car boot sale at Larne Elim Church, starting at 10am. £5 per car.

sunday, august 19 - Car boot sale indoors and outdoors at Forest Glen, Glenarm from 2pm to 5pm. £5 per table, proceeds to Macmillan Cancer Fund. To book a table phone Forest Glen office 028 2884 1091.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 24 - Fashion show in St Comgall’s Club, 8pm, in aid of the Oxygen Therapy Centre, Fashions by Menary’s, Dash, Eastex, Atonomy and Wallis. Tickets, £5, available from Menarys, Larne Tourist Information Centre and Inver Garden Centre.
