DAVE Allen fans will be making a bee-line for Cushendall Golf Club on Thursday night, June 14, when At Large: Dave Allen A Journey Through Life will open at 8.30pm.

The show is performed by Kieran Cunningham whose “perfect timing and laconic delivery” [Manchester Evening News] are reminiscent of Allen’s own relaxed style. The show recounts events from Allen’s life and career through a myriad of stories to touch your funny bone and tug at your heart strings.

With the familiar black chair, packet of Gauloises and glass of the strong stuff, Cunningham transports us back to the BBC TV studio where for an incredible 27 years Allen’s TV show topped the ratings.

Cunningham recreates Allen’s wit and wisdom, laced with controversy, satire and good old-fashioned storytelling – a magical and fitting homage to the ‘chair man’ of Irish comedy. Tickets on the door.
