Elaine Junk, Chairperson of the NIWFA said: “This season sees us put in place another vital piece of the jigsaw – the announcement of a sponsor for our local domestic game. The committee has been working over the last year with the staff in the IFA’s marketing department to source and secure key sponsors.

“This is a great day for women’s football and I would like to thank Davison’s for their kind support and all the work they have already put into women’s football.”

Glenn Waddell, Commercial Manager at Davison's added: “We are delighted to become a partnership with the NIWFA and look forward to helping progress the local game at this level.

“We feel that this is a great opportunity for us to also develop our new launch of the Davison's retail brand. In line with this we have developed a new children's fruit snack range which will be the sponsorship title 'Davison's Frudles'. We look forward to a long, prosperous and successful relationship with both the NIWFA and the IFA.”
