Davy does honours as he opens ACC shop

Age Concern Causeway (ACC) members were very pleased with the success of the official opening of the Age Concern Causeway Shop in Coleraine.

The official opening and cutting of the ribbon was performed by Davy Boyle MBE, Coleraine’s Caring Caretaker.

Leah Glass, Service Development Manager of Age Concern Causeway was delighted with Mr Boyle’s acceptance to cut the ribbon and officially open the shop.

She told the guests: “‘Davey has been a great supporter of ACC over the years and nominated the organisation as his charity of the year for two years raising a total of £13,000.00.

“To have Davey open our shop was both an honour and small token of our gratitude,” Leah added.

The Age Concern Shop was well attended by the public on the official opening and visitors where treated with tea, coffee and plenty of entertainment including; pin the tail on the donkey, guess the number of sweets in the jar and a tombola.

Prize winners have been announced and contacted.

Age Concern Causeway would like to thank everyone for joining in and hope that the entire community in the borough supports its work for the elderly in the community and beyond.
