Deadline for half marathon, 10k and fun run

Runners are being reminded that the deadline for entry to the 2016 Coca-Cola Lisburn Half Marathon, 10K Road Race and Fun Run is Friday 3rd June.

Supported by title sponsors, Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company, and new media partner, Cool FM, the annual event will take place on Wednesday 15th June, commencing at 6.30pm, from Lagan Valley LeisurePlex.

Chairman of the Leisure and Community Development Committee, Alderman Paul Porter is calling on runners to leap into action and register before the entry deadline.

He said: “To avoid missing out on one of the most popular events in the running calendar, I would encourage everyone to register by Friday 3rd June.

“To register for the Half Marathon, 10K Road Race or Fun Run, simply visit www.lisburnhalfmarathon.com. Fun Run entries can also be made by calling 028 9250 9556.

“This is the second year of the revised race route, now recognised as ‘Flat and Fast’, making the event perfect for runners of all levels and abilities.

“Whether you are a competitive runner hoping to achieve your personal best or taking on your first run, there is a challenge for everyone.
