Death of Portadown businessman

Mr Thornton, who passed away on Monday, ran a menswear shop in Edward Street for many years.

He was a lifelong supporter of Portadown Football Club and a former officer with St Mark’s Boys’ Brigade.

The funeral service took place on Wednesday in St Columba’s Parish Church with interment in Kernan Cemetery. He is survived by wife Margaret, sons Neal and Bryce, daughter Tara, grandchildren and family circle.
