Deaths in the community

The death took place (as a result of a road accident) on December 28 of Margaret Mary Rose McVeigh, who lived in Waringstown. She was the mother of Sean and Tony. A funeral service was held in Roselawn Crematorium on Saturday.

Patsy Haddock

The death took place on December 27 of Patricia (Patsy) Haddock. She was the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary-Rose, and sister of Betty, Josephine, Liam (Willie) and the late Eileen, Peggy, Mary, Ann, Rosemary and Brigid. Her funeral was on Tuesday in St Peter’s Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Harry McStay

The death took place on December 31 of Harry McStay, Cornakinnegar Road, Lurgan. He was the husband of Olive and father of Jeanette, Brídh, Conor, Martin and Eleanor. His funeral was on Saturday in St Peter’s Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Gerald Walsh

The death took place on December 31, suddenly at home, of Gerald Walsh, Charles Street, Lurgan. He was the son of Sarah and the late Gerald and brother of Jimmy, Anita, Jennifer, John, Anna-Marie, Jacqueline, Frankie, Paul and the late Paddy. His funeral was on Saturday to St Peter’s Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Roseanna McAlernon

The death took place on January 1 of Roseanna McAlernon, late of Grattan Street, Lurgan. She was the mother of Anne, mother-in-law of Gerry, granny of Shay, Gerard and Ronan, great granny of Eoin, Letitia, Caolan, Niall and Cain, and sister of Gerry and Josephine. Her funeral was on Sunday in St Peter’s Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.
