Deaths in the community

The death took place peacefully at Lurgan Hospital on November 4 of Edward (Eddie) Scullion of Clonmeen.

He was the husband of Bernadette, father of Joe, Ann, Marie, John, Gary and Jane and brother of Sheila and Marie.

His funeral was on Friday to St Anthony’s Church followed by burial in St John’s Lylo.

Margaret Fletcher

The death took place peacefully in Birmingham on November 5 of former Lurgan woman Margaret Fletcher.

She was the sister of May (Thompson), Teasie (McConville) and Jean (Kearney).

Elizabeth Wright

The death took place on November 6, peacefully at home of Elizabeth Jane (Jean) Wright, Ballinderry Road, Aghalee.

She was the wife of Joe and mother of Joe, Rosemary, Richard, Robert and Nigel.

Her funeral service was on Sunday at Ballinderry Presbyterian Church followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Elizabeth Mathers

The death took place peacefully on November 9 at Aughnacloy House of Elizabeth (Lizzie) Mathers, formerly of Cottage Road, Dollingstown.

She was the wife of the late Bertie and mother of Joan, Gordon, Eleanor, David and the late Jim.

Her funeral was in Hill Street Presbyterian Church on Tuesday followed by interment in Magheralin Old Churchyard.
