Deaths in the community

The death took place peacefully at home on October 15 of Mary Ellen Austin (nee Quinn), formerly of Derrytrasna.

She was the mother of Evelyne, Liam, Geraldine, Pauline, Kieran, Lorraine, Noel and Raymond.

Her funeral was on Friday to St Paul’s Church followed by burial in 
St John’s Cemetery.

Eileen Gordon

The death took place on October 14, peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital, of Eileen Gordon (nee Brady), Kilwilke Gardens, Lurgan.

She was the wife of William and mother of Gary and Julie.

Her funeral was on Thursday to St Peter’s Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Church.

Oliver McKeag

The death took place on October 15, peacefully at Lurgan Hospital, of Oliver McKeag, Hawthorn Avenue, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Elizabeth and father of Neil, Kevin, Conor and 
Christopher.

Maureen McVeigh

The death took place on October 14, peacefully at Bannview Nursing Home in Banbridge, of Maureen McVeigh, formerly of Oakleigh Heights, Lurgan.

She was the wife of the late William and mother of Michael, Brendan, Gary, Anne, Linda and Donna.

Her funeral was on Saturday to St Peter’s Church followed by interment at St Colman’s.

Maureen Hoy

The death took place peacefully on October 18, peacefully at Glenview Private Care Home, of Maureen Hoy (nee McCusker), North Circular Road, Lurgan.

She was the wife of Harry, mother of Therese (O’Reilly), Anita (O’Connor), Cormac and Niall and grandmother to Hugh, Olivia, Beth, Harry, Nial, Orla, Cillian and Lorcan.

Her funeral was on Tuesday to St Peter’s followed by burial in St Colman’s.

Rosaleen Mallon

The death took place on October 20, peacefully at Craigavon Hospital, of Rosaleen Mallon, Malcolmson Park, Magheralin.

She was the wife of the late John and mother of Geraldine, John and Martin.

Her funeral is on Thursday to the Church of Ss Patrick and Ronan followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery Kilwarlin.

Bernadette Haughian

The death took place on October 20, peacefully at Aughnacloy House, of 
Bernadette (Bernie) Haughian, late of 
Derrymacash Road.

She was the daughter of the late Nan and Luke and sister of Anne Donnelly, Monica Lynch, Edna, Joseph, Angela Downey, Patricia Gordon, Eamonn, Paddy, Elizabeth Bracey and Gerald.

Her funeral was on Wednesday at St Patrick’s Church, Derrymacash followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
