Deaths in the community

James McNally

The death took place peacefully on February 18 in Laganvale Nursing Home of James McNally, Charlestown Road.

He was the husband of the late Mary, father of Anne, Margaret, Peter, Maureen, Seamus, Caroline, Janet and the late John and the brother of the late Peter, Bridget, Mary, Nelly and Jack.

His funeral was on Friday to St Mary’s Church, Derrytrasna followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

John McVeigh

On February 18 the death took place peacefully of John McVeigh, formerly of Meadowbrook, Craigavon.

He was the husband of Elizabeth McVeigh and son of the late Lucy and Patrick and brother of Francie, Geraldine, Gabriel, Alice, Peter, Michael, Raymond and Laurence and the late Elizabeth, Margaret and David.

His funeral was on Friday to St Peter’s Church followed by interment at St Colman’s Cemetery.

Frederick Gracey

The death took place at hospital on February 22 of Frederick Gracey, Lizanne 
Park, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Irene.

His funeral service was in Malcomsons Funeral Home on Tuesday followed by interment at Lurgan Cemetery.

Hazel Nesbitt

Hazel Nesbitt of Banbridge Road, Lurgan, died peacefully at hospital on February 22.

She was the wife of Jim and mother of Kathy and the late Richard.

Anne Crossey

The death took place peacefully of Anne Crossey (nee Fox) at Craigavon Area Hospital of Richmount Gardens, Taghnevan on February 22.

She was the wife of Patsy and mother of Brendan, Conor, John and Finbar.

Her funeral was on Tuesday to St Paul’s Church followed by burial in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Derrymacash.

William James Hendron

The death took place peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on February 22 of William James Hendron of Hill Street, Lurgan.

He was the husband of the late Alice and father of Margaret, Paula and Frances.

His funeral was on Wednesday to St Paul’s Church followed by interment at St John’s Cemetery, Lylo.

Mary Theresa McCorry

Mary Theresa McCorry died suddenly and peacefully at home on February 22.

She was the daughter of the late John and Margaret McCorry and sister of Sue, Harry, Sean and the late Joe.

Her funeral was from her home on Kilvergan Road on Wednesday to St Patrick’s Church, Derrymacash. She was buried in the adjoining cemetery.

James Hanna

The death took place at hospital on February 23 of James Hanna, Fairview Road, Dromore.

He was the husband of Maureen and father of Wesley, Ian, Brian, Muriel, Stephen and the late Rosemary.

His funeral was on Tuesday in Donaghcloney Methodist Church following by burial in Blackskull Methodist Burial Ground.
