Deaths in the community

The death took place peacefully at home on October 9 of William (Billy) McCavigan, husband of Charlotte (Lottie), 38 Kiln Lodge, Lurgan. He was the father of Ian, Nigel and Sharon and father-in-law of Angela, Veronica and Gerard. Grandfather of Aaron, Padraig, Conall, James and Sean he was the brother of Malachy and Sue and the late Frankie.

His funeral was on Friday to St Paul’s Church with interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Sr Colette Douglas

After a short illness the death took place on October 10 in Assumption Convent, Buckingham Road, Port Elizabeth, South Africa, of Sr Colette Douglas, MSA.

Formerly of 20 Goudy Bridge Road, Aghagallon, she was the sister of Tommy, Eugene and Sheila (Harte) and the late Vincent, Jack, Molly, Lily, Bridie, Jimmy and Gerard.

Mary Sloan

The death took place peacefully on October 10 at Donaghcloney Nursing Home of Mary (May) Sloan, wife of the late Ernie and mother of Heather and Pauline.

Her funeral was on Saturday to Magheralin Parish Church with interment in adjoining churchyard.

Also remembered by sons-in-law Noel and Geoffrey, grandchildren Nicola, Gareth and wife Lisa, Emma and husband Danny, Mark and great grandson James.
