Deaths in the community

The death took place peacefully at Aughnacloy Nursing Home on September 23 of Hilda Culbert, nee Walker, formerly of 4 McCormack Gardens, Lurgan.

She was the wife of the late Walter, mother of Lilian and John, mother-in-law of Paul and Sally and granny of Cathy, Julie, Peter, Judith and Andrew. She was the great granny of Molly, Daniel, Josh, Cian, Joel and Jake.

Her funeral was last Wednesday to High Street Presbyterian Church with interment in Tullylish Parish Churchyard, Gilford.

Etta McComb

The death took place suddenly on September 23 of Etta McComb, daughter of the late George and Ellen McComb, late of Gilford Road, Lurgan.

Deeply regretted by sisters Norah and Elizabeth, brothers-in-law Arthur and Roy, nieces and nephew, Jill and husband Peter, Philip and Sharon.

Her funeral service was last Thursday in Bleary Gospel Hall, Gilford Road, Lurgan, with interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Colin Campbell

The death took place peacefully at home on September 25 of Colin Campbell, husband of Roisin, 113 Lurgantarry, Lurgan. He was the father of Kellymarie, Sinead, Caolan, Nadine, Natasha and Dillon and grandad of Kylarose.

His funeral was on Friday to St Peter’s Church with interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Agnes Hannon

Agnes Hannon, nee McVeigh, 21 Brankinstown Road, Aghalee, died peacefully at home on September 25.

She was the wife of Hugh and mother of Angelo, Aine McGuinness, Roisin Rice, Aodh and Una McStravick. She was the sister of Robert, Mary Creaney and Anne McEvoy.

Her funeral was on Saturday to St Patrick’s Church, Aghagallon, with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Gabriel McGlinchey

The death took place on September 24 of Gabriel McGlinchey, 25 Ashgrove Drive, Lurgan. He was the husband of Lily and father of Paul and Dylan.

His funeral was on Friday to St Peter’s Church with interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Christine Livingston

The death took place peacefully at Newry Hospice on September 27 of Christine (Teenie) Livingston, wife of the late Bobby Livingston and Benny Wilson, Stevenson’s Terrace, Gibson’s Hill, Lurgan.

She was the mother of Kenneth and Pearl. Also remembered by daughter-in-law Dorothy, son-in-law Raymond, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother Alec and family circle.

Her funeral was on Sunday to Newmills Presbyterian Church with interment in the adjoining burying ground.

Etta McCann

Etta McCann, nee O’Neill, died peacefully on September 29 at Lurgan Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Matthew, 28 Glenholme Park, Lurgan. She was the mother of Chris, mother-in-law of Olga and grandmother of Alex. She was the sister of Joan, Mary and Michael and the late Kieran, Harry, Jim, Liam, Dermot and Ita.

Her funeral was on Tuesday to St Paul’s Church with interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.
