Deaths in the community

The death took place at his home on July 16 of Patrick (Paddy) McGuigan, Belvedere Manor.

He was husband of Ursula (Tighe) and son of Sean and Marie McCavigan. He was brother of Marian, Gerard (Goose), Anne, John, Laurence (Freddie), Thomas (Beau) and Mark (Buzzer). His funeral was on Thursday to St Peter’s.

Eileen Wallace

The death took place peacefully at Mahon Hall Care Home on July 16 of Eileen Wallace, nee Livingstone, in her 95th year.

The wife of the late Jack, Dunbarton Street, Gilford, she was the mother of Kathleen and Peggy.

Eileen Kerr

The death took place peacefully at home on July 17 of Eileen Kerr, nee Hamill.

She was the wife of the late Mickey, Glenholme Park, Taghnevan, Lurgan, and mother of Edward, Adrian, Seana and Jonathan. She was the daughter of Edward and Rachel Hamill and sister of Maureen, David, Anita, Roisin and the late Eamon and Sean.

Her funeral was on Friday to St Paul’s Church.

Gwendoline Humphries

The death took place at hospital on July 18 of Gwendoline (Gwen) Humphries, wife of William, Dunkirk Road, Waringstown.

She was the mother of Gail, Karen, Judith, Stuart and the late Heather.

Her funeral was on Sunday to Knocknamuckley Parish.

William Charles Weir

William Charles Weir died at his home, Cambrai Heights, Waringstown, on July 19.

He was the husband of Doris and father of Diane, Jane and Eleanor.

His funeral was on Sunday to Donacloney Presbyterian Church with interment in the adjoining burying ground.

Frances Douglas

Frances Douglas died peacefully at Newry Hospice on July 21.

She was the wife of the late George and mother of Darryl and Gareth.

Her funeral service was on Tuesday in Malcomson’s Funeral Home with interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Charles King

The death took place at hospital on July 21 of Charles King, husband of the late Iris, late of Irwin Drive, Lurgan.

Also regretted by sons-in-law Andrew and Graeme, grandchildren Timothy, Michael and Charlene and the family circle.

His funeral was on Tuesday to Lurgan Elim Church with interment in Donacloney Presbyterian Burying Ground.

Violet Redpath

The death took place peacefully at her home on July 20 of Violet Redpath, 1 Ballynabraggett Road, Waringstown.

She was the wife of Brian.

Also regretted by sisters Angela, Annie, Mary and Bessie, brother Samuel and cousin Ray and their families.

Her funeral was on Monday to All Saints Parish Church, Tullylish, with interment in the adjoining churchyard.

Margaret Winifred Brown

The death took place suddenly at her home on July 18 of Margaret Winifred Brown, Regents Wood, Magheralin.

She was the wife of the late Brian.

Her funeral was on Wednesday to Magheralin Parish Church with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

John Denver

The death took place peacefully on July 21 after a short illness of John (Jackie) Denver, husband of the late Patsy, formerly of Glenview Drive, Lurgan.

He was the father of Alex, Alan and Pamela.

His funeral was on Wednesday to Shankill Parish Church with interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Sarah Bates

Sarah (Sally) Bates died peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on July 22.

She was the wife of the late Joseph, 7 Maple Court, Lurgan, and formerly of Altmore, Craigavon.

She was the mother of Roy, Rita, Joan and the late Maureen.

Also regretted by daughter-in-law Kathleen, sons-in-law Pat and Eamon, grandchildren, great grandchildren and family circle.

Christine Finnegan

The death took place peacefully at home on July 22 of Christine Finnegan, wife of Michael, 31 Dingwell Park. Taghnevan.

She was the mother of Gregory and Jeannette and the daughter of Jean and the late Arthur.

Also regretted by daughter-in-law Marlene, grandchildren Isla and Maeve, brother, sisters and the entire family circle.

Her funeral was on Wednesday to St Paul’s Church with interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.
