Laurence Haslem

The death took place suddenly at home on January 7 of Laurence Haslem, 1 Florence Villa, Magheralin.

He was the husband of Colette and father of Michael, Cathy and Liam.

The son of Mary and the late William Haslem he was the brother of Jim and Patricia.

His funeral was on Thursday to St Patrick and Ronan’s Church, Magheralin, with interment in St Colman’s Cemetery, Kilwarlin.

Margaret McAlinden

The death took place peacefully at hospital on January 9 of Margaret McAlinden, wife of the late Dan, 4 Loughview Terrace, Derrytrasna.

She was the mother of Ethna (Scullion), mother-in-law of Padge, grandmother of Siobhan, Karyn, Myles and Shane and great grandmother of Ryan, Caoimhe, Holly, Evie, Amber and Clodagh.

She was the sister of Sadie and Lily and the late Mick and Dan.

Her funeral was on Saturday to St Mary’s Church, Derrytrasna, with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Robert Lewis Huddlestown

The death took place suddenly at his home on January 10 of Robert Lewis (Lew) Huddleston, 5 Gamblestown Park, Donacloney.

He was the husband of Phyllis and father of Jill.

Also regretted by Jill’s boyfriend Andrew.

He was the brother of June, brother-in-law of Rodney and uncle of Catherine, Brian and Mark.

He was the brother of the late Ronnie, sister-in-law of Andrea and uncle of David, Trevor and Alan.

His funeral service was on Wednesday at Roselawn Creamtorium.

John McAleese

John McAleese, late of Manor Court, Lurgan, died peacefully on January 10.

Deeply regretted by his sisters, nephews, nieces, cousins and family circle.

Mary McGeown

The death took place peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on January 10 of Mary McGeown.

She was the wife of the late James (Jim), 30 Hill Court, Lurgan, and formerly of Kilcar, County Donegal.

She was the mother of Noel.

Regretted by daughter-in-law Anita and grandchildren Sorcha, Shannon, Zoe and Keith.

John Morrow

John Morrow died suddenly at hospital on January 10.

He was the husband of Mona, Orient Circle, Lurgan.

He was the father of Peter, John and Julie.

Also regretted by son-in-law Robert, and grandchildren Megan, Samantha and Johnny.

His funeral service was on Monday to Malcomson’s Funeral Home with interment in Kernan Cemetery.

Albert Nesbitt

Albert Nesbitt, of 49 Irwin Drive, Lurgan, died peacefully at Sandringham Nursing Home on January 10.

He was the husband of Dorrie and father of Elizabeth, Edith and Brian.

Also regretted by son-in-law Alan, daughter-in-law Dawn, grandchildren, great grandchildren and family circle.

Doris Burns

Doris Burns, late of Lime Grove, Lurgan, died at hospital on January 12.

She was the youngest daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Burns.

Deeply regretted by her sister Elizabeth and family circle.

House and funeral were private.

Frances Virtue

She was the wife of the late Ernest and mother of Ivan, William and Robert.

The death took place peacefully at home on January 11 of John McCarron, 2 Island View, Kinnego.

The death took place on January 12 of Vincent Wright, 2 Avonmere, Craigavon.

Joseph Smylie

The death took place peacefully at Sandringham Nursing Home on January 14 of Joseph (Joe) Smylie, Corby Drive, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Elizabeth and father of Rodney.

Also remembered by daughter-in-law Julie, grandson Robert and wife Vanessa, granddaughter Joanna and the family circle.

His funeral service is today (Thursday) in First Lurgan Presbyterian Church followed by cremation on Friday morning in Roselawn Crematorium.
