Deaths in the community

The death took place on November 23 at Blackrock Clinic in Dublin of Cynthia Neill, 113 Parkmore, Craigavon.

She was the wife of Colin and mother of Heather, Karen and Noreen.

Also remembered by her sister Noreen, brother-in-law Raymond and family circle.

Her funeral was on Thursday to St Saviour’s Parish Church, Craigavion, with interment in Kernan Cemetery.

Joseph Valentine Cairns

The death took place on November 30 of Joseph Valentine (Joe) Cairns, 81 Russell Drive, Lurgan.

He was the husband of the late Betty and father of David.

Also regretted by his daughter-in-law Joanne, grandchildren Luke and Jemima-Rose and family circle.

His funeral was on Monday from his home to Lurgan Cemetery.

Margaret Sloan

Margaret Sloan died peacefully at Lisnisky Nursing Home on November 29.

She was the wife of the late Jim and mother of Sharon and Colin.

She was the mother-in-law of Henry and granny of Adam, Gail and Joshua.

Her funeral was private.

Mary Boggs

Mary Boggs, wife of the Reverend Ernest Boggs, 34 Hammond Farm, Maghaberry, died on December 1.

She was the mother of Patricia, Robert (Rob), Stephen and Kieran and grandmother to David, Jonathan, Mark and Aaron.

She was the sister of James and Artie and the late Andy, Olive and Maud.

Her funeral was on Monday to Moira Presbyterian Church with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Noel Greene

The death took place peacefully at Aughnacloy House on November 30 of Noel Greene, late of 29 Oakridge, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Alice, father of Stephen, Laurence and Bernadette and father-in-law of Gemma,

Grandfather of Rebecca, Jessica, James, Adam, Christopher, Alicia, Callum and Shay he was also the great grandfather of Louise, Clodagh, Chloe, Sophie, Nicole and Kara.

He was the son of the late James and Sarah Greene and brother of Jim, Sheila, Thomas, Anthony, Arthur, Philip, Martin, Marian and the late Ann, Patricia and Bernadette.

His funeral was on Monday to St Patrick’s Church, Derrymacash, with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Bobby McCarroll

Bobby McCarroll, 6 Ennis Tarry, Lurgan, died suddenly at home on December 2.

He was the son of the late Bill and Annie McCarroll and brother of Ann, Jean, Mary, Barbara, Sean and the late Eleanor and Donald.

His funeral was on Tuesday to St Peter’s Church with interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Sean Lavery

The death took place at Craigavon Area Hospital on November 14 of Sean Lavery, 1 Ennis Green, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Josephine and father of Carol, Finola, Denise and the late Damian.

His funeral was on November 16 to St Peter’s Church with interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

James Knox

The death took place suddenly on December 3 of James (Jim) Knox, husband of Kathleen, 97 Lurgantarry, Lurgan.

He was the father of Jenny, Ann, Jim, Fiona, Noeleen, Janette, David and Maria.

His funeral is today (Thursday) to St Peter’s Church with interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.
