Deaths in the community

The death has taken place of Mary Elizabeth (May) Cunningham on September 25 peacefully at hospital.

She was the wife of the late James and mother of Jimmy, Emma and Harold.

She is mourned by her grandchildren Noel, Elaine, George and Zoe, Irwin, David Lesley, Pamela, Colin and great grandchildren Jamie and Georgina and wide family circle.

Her funeral was from her home at Rawdon Place, Moira for a service in St John’s Parish Church followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery

William Colin Thompson

The death has taken place of William Colin Thompson suddenly at hospital on September 25.

He was the husband of Norma and loving step father of Ernest and Sandra (late of Woodhall Moira)

His funeral service was held in Moira Parish Church with interment in Broomhedge Parish Churchyard.

John Joseph (Jack) Angus

The death has taken place peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital of John Joseph (Jack) Angus on September 24.

Jack from Trinity Park, Magheralin was the husband of Olive, and father of Marion, Michael, Jacqueline, John and Colm.

His funeral was on Sunday at the Church of Sts Patrick and Ronan, Magheralin with burial afterward at St Colman’s Cemetery, Kilwarlin.

Marie McAlinden (nee King) (Craigavon and formerly Derrymacash)

The death has taken place peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital of Marie McAlinden on September 29.

Marie was the wife of the late Harry McAlinden and mother of Ciaran, Colum, Noel and Paul, grandmother of Eoin, Christopher, Ellen and Rhys,

She was the daughter of the late Catherine and Edward (Ned) King and sister of Patricia and the late Christopher and Noel.

Her funeral was on Tueday from her home at Carrigart to St Patrick’s Church, Derrymacash with burial afterward in the adjoining cemetery.

Albert Metcalfe

The death has taken place peacefully at hospital of Albert Metcalfe on September 30.

Mr Metcalfe, from Derrytrasna Lane, Lurgan was the husband of Venie and father of Ivan and Elizabeth.

His funeral service was in Malcomsons Funeral Home in Lurgan followed by interment in Bellville Presbyterian Burying Ground.
