Deaths in the community

The death took place on July 14 at Craigavon Area Hospital of Auld Hand (Brian) McConville, 166 Ballnamoney Road, Lurgan.

He was the husband of the late Josephine and father of Mairead, Oonagh and Eilish.

Father-in-law to Kieran, Jude and Martin he was the grandfather of Caolan, Aoife, Daire, Jo and Alis Mae.

His funeral was on Tuesday to St Patrick’s Church, Derrymacash, with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Freda Poole

Freda Poole, formerly of Annalong and Lurgan and late of Peacehaven Nursing home, Rathfriland, died at hospital on July 15.

She was the wife of the late Bertie Poole and Waldo McNabney.

Her funeral service was in Magheralin Parish Church on Wednesday followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard.

Her death is deeply regretted by her daughter, son-in-law Alan, daughter-in-law Roberta, grandchildren Nicola, William, Robbie and Katherine and sister Florence.

David George Wilson

The death took place suddenly on July 15 of David George (Geordie) Wilson, 2 Greenhill Park, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Eleanor and father of David, Christopher, Ashley and Richard.

His funeral service was on Tuesday in Malcomson’s Funeral Home with burial in Lurgan Cemetery.

Dominic Kearney

Dominic Kearney, formerly from Lurgan, died in London on July 13.

He was the husband of Pauline and father of Neil and Dominic.

He was the son of Josephine and the late Dan Kearney and brother of Helen, Ted, Betty, Donald, Margaret, Carol, Finola, Denise and the late Damian.

Bethany Ruth Cousins

The death took place suddenly on July 15 of Bethany Ruth (Beth) Cousins, 1 Glenwood Park, Wood Lane, Lurgan.

She was the daughter of Alistair and Ruth and the sister of Alex and Ben.

Her funeral was on Wednesday to Shankill Parish Church followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Joseph Hanna

Joseph Hanna, of Meadowvale, Waringstown, died suddenly at home on July 16.

He was the husband of the late Mary and father of Doreen.

His funeral was on Wednesday to Waringstown Gospel Hall with interment in Lurgan Cemetery.
