Deaths in the community

The death took place peacefully at the Southern Area Hospice on April 4 of John Doherty, of 13 Ennis Tarry.

He was the husband of the late Josie and father of Patricia, Sally, Eddie, Brendan, Rosemary, Emily, Jo, Paul, Gerard and the late John, Catherine and Martin.

His funeral was on Friday from the residence of his daughter Sally Fearon to St Paul’s Church.

He was buried in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Marion Grimes (nee Breen)

The death took place peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on April 4 of Marion Grimes of 5 Regency Court.

She was the daughter of Bernadette and the late Michael Breen, the wife of Diarmund and the mother of Darran, Julie, Linda, Christopher and Michele.

She was the sister of Colette, Michael, Joanie, Bernie, Dessie, Martin, Paula and Paul.

Her funeral service was on Saturday from her late residence to St Paul’s Church followed by interment at St Mary’s Cemetery, Derrytrasna.

Joseph (Joe) Loughran

The death took place on April 4, peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital, of Joseph Loughran from Lurgan, formerly of Moy.

He was the husband of Gertie, brother of Kathleen and the late Thomas, Frank and Mary and brother-in-law of Joan.

His funeral service was on Friday at St Peter’s Church with burial afterwards in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Joe was a long serving member of the Lurgan Conference of St Vincent De Paul and a long standing member of the Lurgan branch of the SDLP.
