Deaths in the community

The death took place suddenly at Craigavon Area Hospital on January 17 of Francie McEvoy, 19 Point Road, Laurencetown.

He was the husband of Gwendoline and father of Una, Desmond, Billy, Adrian, Rosemary and the late Aideen and Francis.

His funeral was last Thursday to St Colman’s Church, Laurencetown, followed by interment in St Mary’s Cemetery, Lisnagade.

Joan Whale

The death took place peacefully at hospital on January 17 of Joan Whale, 22 Mill Hill, Waringstown.

She was the wife of Frank and sister of Laura (Shepherd).

Her funeral was on Saturday to Tullylish Presbyterian Church with interment in the adjoining burying ground.

Jim McNally

Jim McNally, of 96 Kilwilke Road, Lurgan, died peacefully at home on January 19.

He was the partner of Deirdre and father of Orlagh, Sean, Kerry and Kieran.

His funeral service was on Saturday in St Peter’s Church followed by burial in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Barry McKavanagh

The death took place in Toronto, Canada, on January 19 of Barry McKavanagh, formerly of 15 Leansmount Road, Milltown, Lurgan.

He was the son of the late Bernard and Bridget McKavanagh and brother of Kathleen, Rory, Geraldine, Gary and Noreen.

Ita Fox

The death took place on January 20 of Ita Fox, nee Sheehan, formerly of 89 Gilford Road, Lurgan.

She was the wife of the late Terry, mother of Marie and Peter, mother-in-law of Ann Marie, grandmother of Patrick, Michael and Sarah Rose, and sister of Mick, Margaret and Mary.

Her funeral was on Sunday to St Peter’s Church with interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Elizabeth Neill

The death took place peacefully at hospital on January 22 of Elizabeth (Betty) Neill, Glenfield Road, Lurgan.

She was the wife of the late Norman and mother of Carol, Dorothy and the late Pauline.

Her funeral was on Tuesday to Lurgan Free Presbyterian Church followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Isaac Henderson

The death took place peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on January 22 of Isaac Henderson, 15 Ennis Close, and formerly of Shore Road, Lurgan.

He was the brother of Kathleen, Sean and the late William, Tommy, Harry, Brendan, Philip and Eileen.

His funeral was on Wednesday to St Peter’s Church with interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Rosaleen McBride

The death took place on January 23 of Rosaleen McBride, 12 Gracey Drive, Lurgan.

She was the wife of Rodney, mother of Karen and grandmother of Rebecca.

Her funeral was on Wednesday to The Church of St John the Baptist, Drumcree, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
