Deaths in the community

The death took place suddenly at home on November 22 of Carol Riddell, nee Williamson, Mill Hill, Waringstown.

She was the wife of James, mother of David and Brian and mother in law of Judith.

Her funeral was on Friday to Dromore Cathedral followed by interment in St Andrew’s Parish Churchyard, Killyman.

Joan Rice

Joan Rice, nee Connolly, of 411 Drumbeg South, Craigavon, died on November 22.

She was the mother of Theresa, Patrick and Martin.

Her funeral was on Thursday to St Anthony’s Church with interment in Milltown Cemetery, Belfast.

Eileen Thompson

The death took place peacefully at hospital on November 19 of Eileen Thompson, nee McCool, Lurgan and Ontario.

She was the wife of the late Leonard, friend of the late Leo McAlinden and sister of the late Jack, May and Danny.

She was the mother of Martin, mother-in-law to Karen and grandmother of Kiera and Shannon.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Clara (McCool).

Her funeral Mass was celebrated on November 26 in Merciful Redeemer Parish, Mississauga.

Ethna Henchel

The death took place on November 22 after a short illness in Canada of Ethna Henchel, nee Wright, formerly of Edward Street, Lurgan.

She was the daughter of the late Jackie and Kathleen and sister of Kathleen, Eamon, Seamus, Patsy, Rose, Anne, Noel, Pauline and the late Sheila, Sean, Eileen and Stephanie.

Maud Hampton

The death took place on November 25 at Mahon Hall of Maud Hampton, wife of the late Alan, late of Victor Place, Dollingstown.

She was the mother of Linda, Ivan and Valerie.

Her funeral was on Monday to St Saviour’s Church, Dollingstown, with interment in Holy Trinity Churchyard, Waringstown.

Geoffrey Karl Thompson

Geoffrey Karl Thompson died peacefully at hospital on November 25.

He was the husband of Janette and father of Charlotte and Victoria.

His funeral was on Monday from 17 King’s Park Mews, Lurgan, to Holy Trinity Parish Churchyard, Waringstown.

Jacqueline Doonan

The death took place peacefully at home on November 26 of Jacqueline Doonan, 29 Deans Grange, Craigavon.

She was the daughter of Francis and Sheila, sister of Lesia, Leeanne and Damien and aunt of Darragh.

Her funeral was on Tuesday to St Anthony’s Church with interment in St John’s Cemetery, Lylo.

Sarah Calvert

The death took place peacefully at hospital on November 28 of Sarah (Sadie) Calvert.

She was the wife of the late Sydney and mother of Paul and Brian.

Her funeral was on Wednesday to St John’s Parish Church followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.
