Deaths in the community

Robert James Wylie died suddenly at hospital on Monday, October 4.

Late of Parkmore, Craigavon, Bob was the dear father of Robert and Christopher.

Funeral service was in Craigavon Baptist Church (Drumgor) on Friday at 2.30pm, followed by interment in Kernan Cemetery. Donations if desired payable to Craigavon Baptist Church c/o Joseph Poots and Son Funeral Directors, 42 Bridge Street, Portadown, BT63 5AE.

Aidan McAlinden

Aidan McAlinden died suddenly at his home in Byrnes Rampart, Derrytrasna surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 6.

He was the beloved husband of Marie and much loved father of Marie, Orla and Anna, son of the late Patsy and Marie McAlinden and dear brother of Deirdre, Patricia, Eileen and Mark.

The funeral took place from his home to St Mary's Church, Derrytrasna for Requiem Mass on Friday, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

William James Lindsay

William James Lindsay passed away at Iveagh Nursing Home, Banbridge on Thursday, October 7.Late of Mourne Road, Lurgan Jim passed away on the same day as his sister May Sharpe.

A funeral Service in Malcomsons Funeral Home, 7 Robert Street, Lurgan on Saturday was followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Mary Sharpe

Mary (May) Sharpe dearly loved wife of George and beloved mother of Lynsay and Gillian (Gilford Road, Lurgan) passed away in hospital on Thursday, October 7.

Her funeral service was in Queen Street Methodist Church on Saturday followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Sheila Nelson

The death took place at Craigavon Area Hospital of Sheila Nelson (nee Morris) on Thursday, October 7.

She was the beloved wife of the late Francis and loving mother of Winnie, Sheila, Bridie, Frances and the late Pauline and Anne. She was also the dear sister of Cenny Morris.

The funeral took place from her home at Tannaghmore North Road on Saturday to St Peter's Temporary Church with burial afterwards in St Joseph's Cemetery, Glenavy.

John Weir

John (Jackie) Weir passed away peacefully at hospital on Sunday, October 10.

He was the dearly loved son of Margaret and the late Cecil (Gilpin Park, Dollingstown) and dear brother of Sylvia, Joan and Heather.

The funeral service took place in Malcomsons Funeral Home, 7 Robert St., Lurgan on Tuesday, followed by interment in Moira Parish Churchyard.

Vincent Hosty

The death took place at Craigavon Area Hospital of Vincent Hosty, Lisnaglade Mews, Derrytrasna, on Sunday, October 10.

Vincent was the beloved husband of the late Rose and dear father of Gerald, Martin, Fergal, Mary, Catherine and John Paul.

He was the brother of Veronica, Imelda and Kitty.
