Deaths in the community

The death took place on August 10 of Katherine Dove, nee McSherry, 611 Pinebank, Craigavon.

She was the wife of John and mother of Bernadette, Andrew and Martin.

Her funeral was on Thursday to St Peter’s Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Pauline Headley

The death took place on August 10 of Pauline Headley, 95 Kilwilkie Road, Lurgan.

She was the wife of Austin and mother of Sharon, Stephen and Alison.

Her funeral was on Thursday to St Peter’s Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Evelyn Hamill

Evelyn Hamill, late of Lisnisky Care Home, died peacefully in hospital on August 10.

She was the wife of the late Billy and mother of Carol and Audrey.

Her funeral was on Thursday from her daughter Carol’s home, 47 Valley Lane, Waringstown, to Holy Trinity Churchyard, Waringstown.

Elizabeth Furphy

The death took place peacefully on August 10 of Elizabeth (Lily) Furphy, wife of Edward, 33 Tannaghmore North Road, Lurgan.

She was the mother of Patsy, Ted, Mary, Margaret, Teresa, Raymond, Joan, John, Paul, Mark and the late Gerard.

Her funeral was on Thursday to St Peter’s Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Rosemary Haddock

Rosemary Haddock, daughter of the late Patrick and Mary-Rose, 48 Brownlow Terrace, Lurgan, died peacefully at hospital on August 12.

She was the sister of Betty, Patsy, Ann, Josephine, Liam and the late Bridget, Eileen, Peggy and Mary.

Her funeral was on Friday to St Peter’s Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

John Bulloch

The death took place peacefully on August 13 of John Bulloch, late of Fairview House, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Maud and father of Caroline, Russell and Patrick.

A farewell service was held in Roselawn Crematorium on Wednesday.

Rita Hamill

The death took place peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on August 12 of Rita Hamill, nee McGuigan, 5 Ennis Green and formerly of Kilwilkie Road, Lurgan.

She was the wife of the late Thomas and mother of Kathleen, Tommy and Neil.

Her funeral was on Sunday to St Peter’s Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

John Magennis

The death took place peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on August 15 of John Magennis, 11 O’Neill’s Terrace, Lurgan.

He was the husband of the late Mary and father of Pauline and Desmond.

His funeral was on Tuesday to St Peter’s Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Hugh McCluskey

Hugh McCluskey, of 10 Woodville Street, Lurgan, died peacefully on August 13.

The husband of Sheila, he was the father of Mariona Hatchell.

His funeral was on Sunday to St Peter’s Temporary church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Beatrice Benson

The death took place peacefully at Aughnacloy House on August 15 of Beatrice Benson, Templer Court, Lurgan.

She was the wife of Cecil and mother of Derek, Muriel, Doreen, Iris, William, Jimmy, Eileen and the late Susan.

Her funeral service is today (Thursday) in Malcomson’s Funeral Home followed by cremation.
