Deaths in the community

The death took place on July 27 of Geraldine Vallely, formerly McCormac, 24 Turmoyra Court, Lurgan, and formerly Portadown.

She was the wife of James (Con) and mother of Paul, Shane, Conor, David, Aisling and the late Gareth.

Her funeral was on Friday to the Church of St John the Baptist, Drumcree, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

James McGeown

The death took place peacefully at hospital on July 31 of James (Jim) McGeown, 2 Coleman Drive, Derrymacash.

He was the husband of Moya and father of Conor and James.

His funeral was on Monday to St Patrick’s Church, Derrymacash, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Patrick McMahon

Patrick (Patsy) McMahon, of 32 Richmount Gardens, Lurgan, died suddenly on August 1.

The husband of the late Lily (nee Dummigan) he was the father of Maria, Mel, Gavin, Philip and Jennifer and brother of Jim, Junior and the late Mary.

His funeral was on Wednesday to St Paul’s Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Eleanor Caroline Spence

The death took place peacefully on August 2 at Glenview Nursing Home of Eleanor Caroline Spence, nee Fleming, 40 Ballymacallen Road, Clare, Gilford.

She was the wife of the late Hugh Francis Spence and mother of Deirdre, Alan, Colin and Lorna.

Her funeral was on Wednesday to Tullylish Presbyterian Church followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard.
