John Alexander Cust

The death took place at hospital on July 12 of John Alexander Cust, 41 Ashleigh Crescent, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Linda and father of Myrna.

His funeral service was last Thursday in Malcomson’s Funeral Home followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Patrick Joseph Smyth

The death took place peacefully on July 13 of Patrick Joseph (Paddy) Smyth, 11 Wellington Street, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Eileen and father of Joan, Kenneth, Celine, Rosemary and Joseph.

His funeral was on Friday to St Peter’s Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Norma Chapman

The death took place suddenly at her home on July 15 of Norma Chapman, 119 Sloan Street, Lurgan.

She was the aunt of Ivan McDowell Chapman.

Mary Byers

The death took place at hospital on July 15 of Mary (May) Byers, wife of Fred, 50 Ardboe Drive, Lurgan.

Her funeral was on Sunday to First Lurgan Presbyterian Church followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Sybil Bourke

The death took place peacefully at home on July 15 of Sybil Bourke, 58 Cranny Road, Bleary.

She was the wife of the late Edmund and mother of Jane, Shelagh, Sarah and Marion.

Her funeral was on Saturday to St John’s Church, Lylo, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

John Archer (Jack) McDowell

The death took place on July 17 of John Archer (Jack) McDowell, late of Ardboe Drive, Lurgan.

He was the husband of the late Elizabeth and father of Lesley and John.

The funeral service took place in Joseph Poots and Son’s Funeral Home in Portadown on Tuesday, July 20, followed by interment in Kernan Cemetery. No flowers by request, but any desired donations may be made payable to Southern Area Hospice care of Joseph Poots and Sons Funeral Home, Portadown.

Stephen Larkin

Stephen Larkin, husband of Catherine, father of Aaron, Megan and Callum and son of Gerald and Bernadette, of 64 Huntershill Park, Gilford, passed away suddenly, as a result of an accident, on July 17.

His funeral was at his residence on Wednesday, July 21, with a Requiem Mass in the Church of St John the Evangelist, Gilford, followed by interment in St Patrick and St Colman’s Cemetery, Laurencetown.
