Deaths in the community

The death took place suddenly on June 26 of Roy Ronald Collins, 20 Plantation Road, Gilford.

He was the husband of Christine and father of Darren, Michael, Linda and Jason.

His funeral was on Thursday to Banbridge Elim Pentecostal Church followed by interment in the New Cemetery.

Annette Blevins

The death took place peacefully on June 29 of Annette Blevins, nee Lavery, 7 Inglewood, Lurgan.

She was the wife of Jim and mother of Julie and Paul.

Her funeral was on Thursday to St Peter’s Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

John Frederick Adamson

The death took place at Craigavon Area Hospital on July 2 of John Frederick (Freddie) Adamson, husband of Christine (Chrissie), father to Stuart and Paul and stepfather of Cindy and Lorraine.

His funeral was on Monday from his son’s house, 22 Castle Meadows, Gilford, to Gilford Presbyterian Church followed by interment in Tullylish Parish Churchyard.

John Howie

The death took place peacefully at his home on July 2 of John Howie, husband of Violet, father of Christopher and Kathryn and grandfather of Mia and Jack.

His funeral was on Monday to St Saviour’s Church, Craigavon, followed by interment in Banbridge New Cemetery.

James Stevenson

The death took place peacefully at the Southern Area Hospice on July 2 of James (Jim) Stevenson, 12B Colane Road, Aghagallon.

He was the husband of Mariesa, nee McGeown, son of Doreen and the late Francis and brother of Madeline, Felix, Lawrence, Frances, Brendan, Conor and Ann.

His funeral was on Monday to St Paul’s Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Nuala King

The death took place peacefully at the Mater Hospital, Belfast, on July 3 of Nuala King, 41 Thornleigh, Lurgan.

She was the wife of the late Seamus and mother of Edel, Jenny, Anne and Lynne.

Her funeral was on Tuesday to St Paul’s Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Margaret Knox

The death took place peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on July 3 of Margaret (Peggy) Knox, 10 Patrick’s Avenue, Aghagallon.

She was the sister of Willie, Sadie (Coulter), Kathleen (McCrory) and the late Seamus.

Her funeral was on Monday to St Patrick’s Church followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Jean Magill

The death took place peacefully at hospital on July 3 of Jean Magill, late of Stevenson Park, Lurgan.

Her funeral was on Wednesday to Lurgan Baptist Church followed by interment in Donacloney Presbyterian Burying Ground.

Florence Rafferty

The death took place on July 5 of Florence Rafferty, Lurgan and formerly of Andersonstown Road, Belfast.

She was the wife of the late Patrick and mother of Cushla, Sean and the late Oonagh and Pat.

Her funeral was on Wednesday from her daughter’s residence, 2 Headington Mews, Lurgan, to St Agnes Church, Anderstown, followed by interment in Milltown Cemetery.
