Deaths in the community

The death took place peacefully at hospital on May 11 of Mildred Lapsley, wife of the late Robert, 8 Malcolmson Park, Magheralin.

She was the mother of Barbara, Jacqueline, Stephanie and Geoffrey.

Her funeral was on Thursday from her home to Magheralin Parish Churchyard.

Edward John Stevenson

The death took place peacefully on May 13 at hospital of Edward John Stevenson, late of 140 Ardmore Road, Lurgan.

He was the son of the late James and Louisa Stevenson and brother of James, Richard, Walter, Evelyn, Elsie and Winnie.

His funeral was on Saturday to Ardmore Parish Church followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard.

Thomas McPeake

The death took place suddenly at home on May 13 of Thomas (Tom) McPeake, 22 Rowan Manor, Craigavon.

He was the father of Conor and Tara.

His funeral was on Monday to St Anthony’s Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery, Lurgan.

William Moore

The death took place in May 15 in Sydney, Australia, of William (Willie) Moore, formerly of Prospect Way, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Joanne, father of Bianca and Aaron and brother of Tony, Ann, Jim and Margaret.

Mary Rooney

The death took place peacefully on May 16 at Aughnacloy House of Mary (May) Rooney, nee Casey, wife of the late William, formerly of Ulster Street, Lurgan.

She was the sister of Bridie.

Her funeral was on Tuesday to St Peter’s Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.
