Deaths in the community

Helena Lord

The death took place on April 19 in England of Helena Lord, nee Sheppard, formerly of 32 Drumlin Drive, Lurgan.

She was the wife of John, mother of Patrick and Stephen and sister of Gerard, Gloria, Fr Jim, Philomena, John, Liam and Alicia.

Edward Breen

The death took place peacefully at Aughnacloy House on April 21 of Edward (Eddie) Breen, 17 Taghnevan Drive, Lurgan, and formerly of Derrytagh North, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Mary, father of Mary, Teresa, Brian, Edward, Geraldine and Stephen and brother of Sr Gabriel Breen and the late Mary-Ann, Joseph, Michael-John and Margaret.

His funeral was on Saturday to St Paul’s Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

James Edward Gough

The death took place peacefully on April 22 at hospital of James Edward (Jim) Gough, late of 24 Templar Court, Lurgan.

He was the husband of the late Sally and father of Maurice and Leslie.

His funeral was on Saturday to Shankill Parish Church followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Charles Carbery

The death took place peacefully at Laganvale Clinic, Moira, on April 24 of Charles (Charlie) Carbery, husband of the late Mary, 36 Kilmaine Street, Lurgan.

He was the father of Margaret, Charles, Colin, Caroline, Anne, John, Patrick and Mark and brother of Gerald.

His funeral was on Monday to St Peter’s Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

David McKerr

The death took place suddenly on April 24 of David McKerr, 52 Avondale Green, Taghnevan, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Roisin, father of Eimear and Aoife, son of the late Gervase and Eleanor and brother of Jonathan.

His funeral was on Tuesday to St Paul’s Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Annie McKeown

The death took place peacefully at home on April 25 of Annie McKeown, nee Greer, 8 Castlevue Park, Moira, late of Lower Ballinderry.

She was the wife of the late Samuel and mother of Cynthia, Beverley and the late Mervyn.

Her funeral was on Tuesday to St John’s Parish Church followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard.

Joseph Desmond McKeown

The death took place peacefully on April 26 at Laganvale Care Home, Moira, of Joseph Desmond McKeown, 23 Danesfort, Moira.

He was the husband of Marina and father of William and Trevor.

His funeral was on Wednesday to Priesthill Methodist Church followed by interment in Hillsborough Parish Churchyard.
