Deaths in the community

The death took place at Belfast City Hospital on April 13 of Agnes Green, 108 Ballinamoney Road, Lurgan.

She was the wife of the late Joe and mother of Brigid, Patsy, Jim, Agnes and Helen.

Her funeral was on Friday to St Patrick’s Church, Derrymacash, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Susanna Elizabeth Hutton

The death took place peacefully in her 81st year on April 15 of Susanna Elizabeth (Lily) Hutton, nee Robb, 22 Pollock Drive, Lurgan.

She was the wife of Thomas Henry (Harry) Hutton (ex-RUC) and mother of Margaret and Jaqui.

Her funeral was on Saturday to First Lurgan Presbyterian Church followed by interment in First Markethill Presbyterian graveyard.

Eileen Gardner

The death took place on April 3 in England of Eileen Gardner, nee McClarnon, formerly of Ballynamoney Park and Silverwood, Lurgan.

She was the wife of Basil and mother of Elaine, Paddy, Philip, Sean and Delia.

Her funeral was on Friday to St Patrick’s Church, Derrymacash, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Sr Francis McKenna

The death took place peacefully on April 16 of Sr Francis McKenna, Lurgan.

She was the daughter of Jack and Margaret McKenna, Belturbet, County Cavan, and sister of Evelyn, Mel, Brenda and the late Kevin, Raphael, Cyril and Frances.

Her funeral was on Monday from the Convent of Mercy, Edward Street, Lurgan, to St Paul’s Church followed by interment in the Convent Cemetery.

Thomas Joseph Leathem

The death took place suddenly on April 17 at Craigavon Area Hospital of Thomas Joseph (Tom) Leathem, 8 Kilvergan Road, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Sally, son of Sarah and the late Joseph and brother of Patsy and Matt.

His funeral was on Tuesday to St Patrick’s Church, Derrymacash, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Josephine Mulholland

The death took place peacefully on April 17 of Josephine Mulholland, nee Cardwell, 58 Parknasilla Way, Aghagallon, and formerly of Crumlin.

She was the wife of the late Ned and mother of David, Richard and Aimee.

Her funeral was on Tuesday to Mater Dei Church followed by interment in St Joseph’s Cemetery, Glenavy.

Angela Gribbon

The death took place on April 18 of Angela Gribbon, wife of the late Eamon, 30 Levin Road, Lurgan.

She was the mother of Canice, Margaret, Barry, Gary, Damien, Christopher, Daniel, Ann, Maurice and May.

Her funeral was on Wednesday to St Peter’s Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Mary Catherine Smyth

The death took place peacefully on April 19 at Craigavon Area Hospital of Mary Catherine (Mary) Smyth, wife of the late Laurence, Clara Street and formerly of Ashgrove Avenue, Lurgan.

She was the mother of Patricia, Kieran, Deirdre, Declan and Christine and sister of Bridget and the late Joe Heyburn.

Her funeral was on Wednesday to St Peter’s Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.
