Deaths in the local community

The death occurred of Mary (May) Connell (née McKerr) on January 20th, peacefully at Lough Neagh Care Home Maghery.

Mary (May) was the dearly beloved wife of the late Francis formerly of Brownlow Terrace, and much loved sister of Ita, Veronica, Oliver and Joe and the late Teresa, Kathleen, Leonard and Patsy R.I.P,

Her funeral was on Saturday from the residence of her sister Veronica Smith, Monbrief Walk, Taghnevan, to St Peter’s Church for Requiem Mass,

Interment afterwards in St Colman’s Cemetery,

Very deeply regretted by her loving sisters, brothers, and family circle,

Howard Andrew Allen

The death occurred of Howard Andrew Allen on January 21, at hospital.

He was the husband of the late Christina Dal Watson Allen and dearly loved father of Kenneth, Edwin and Howard, Dromore Road, Lurgan.

His funeral Service was in Shankill Parish Church on Monday 25th, followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Lovingly remembered by his sorrowing sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family circle.

Patrick (Pat) Joseph McCloskey

The death occurred of Patrick (Pat) Joseph McCloskey on Thursday January 21st, peacefully surrounded by his loving daughters,

He was the dearly beloved husband of the late Eleanor (1975) and Nora (2008), Loving father of Oonagh, Bridgeen and Ciara; much -loved father-in-law of Paul, Scott and Scott, and cherished grandfather of Charlie, Emma, Lucy, Rachael, Andrew, James, Mary-Ellen, Martha, Eilidh and Annabel,

His funeral left from 1 College Close, Lurgan, on Sunday for Requiem Mass in Saint Peter’s Church, North Street, Lurgan.

Burial afterwards in St Colman’s Cemetery,

Micheal McGeary

Micheal McGeary, Maghery Road, Milltown, Birches, passed away on January 23.

He was the beloved husband of Olive and dear father of Sarah, Olive and Susan. R.I.P.

His funeral took place on Monday from his residence to the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Maghery for requiem mass, Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife, daughters, son-in-law Barry, brothers Brian and Seamus and family circle.

Oswell Merwood (Ossie) Stewart

Oswell Merwood (Ossie) Stewart passed away peacefully at home (Hazelgrove Avenue, Lurgan) on January 24th.

He was the beloved husband of Pamela and much loved father of Heather, Paul, Loraine and Gary.

Funeral Service in St John’s Parish Church, Sloan Street, Lurgan on Wednesday at 11.30am followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.
