Decision time on moving DARD to Limavady

A DECISION on whether the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development might relocate to Limavady will be made soon, the Minister responsible for that Department has announced.

Sinn Féin Minister Michelle O’Neill had been asked by local DUP MLA George Robinson for “an update on the relocation of her departmental headquarters, and whether Limavady is still a contender for the site of the relocation.”

Michelle O’Neill replied: “As you will be aware the advancement of the relocation of the Headquarters of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is one of the commitments set out in the Executive’s Programme for Government 2011-2015. Work on delivering this important commitment is progressing. I am currently considering potential locations and hope to reach a decision soon.”
