Decrease in claimant count
Unemployment in Carrickfergus Borough has decreased by 33 people over the past month, according to figures from the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment.
There are now 835 claimants in Carrickfergus; of these 592 are male and 243 female.
This represents a change of -245 over the year.
Commenting on the figures, East Antrim MLA Alastair Ross said they show that the economy in Northern Ireland “continues to grow stronger, with unemployment down and the number of employee jobs rising”.
