The court heard police noticed a car negotiating a mini-roundabout and spoke to the defendant who was driving. A small quantity of cannabis was found in the car.

A solicitor representing Teggart said the car only came to police attention because it had been modified and had difficulty in navigating over the speed bumps. He added the defendant was no longer a user and this cannabis was some he had forgotten was there.
