'˜Deliberate' fire engulfs car in Moneymore

A car was '˜deliberately' set on fire in the Tullynagee Road area of Moneymore late last night.

Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service said they received a call about the incident at 9.35pm, and after a crew was deployed to deal with the fire - it was ascertained as being ‘deliberate’.

A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) received a call at 9.35pm to a report of a car well alight at the Tullynagee Road area of Moneymore last night (Tuesday 12 April).

“One Fire Appliance from Cookstown Fire Station was deployed to the scene. Firefighters a hosereel jet dealt with the incident.

“Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service finished at the scene at 10.06pm and the fire is being treated as deliberate.”
