Delight at giffgaff vote of confidence

SDLP group leader Martin Reilly has welcomed the announcement by mobile network company giffgaff of 16 new jobs and a three-year contract with Firstsource Solutions in the city.

Mr Reilly, who recently visited the firm’s newly revamped facilities on the Northland Road, said: “I am delighted at this announcement and giffgaff’s long-term commitment to Derry and its workforce at their site at Firstsource.

“These additional jobs are a welcome boost to our local economy, as this announcement secures the future of existing giffgaff jobs and will hopefully become a magnet for attracting further jobs to our city.

“The management made it clear to me that it was the skills and dedication of the existing workforce which have secured these additional jobs for the city.

“We will continue to work with this company to help grow the number of jobs provided at this important facility in Derry.”

The Firstsource and giffgaff partnership has seen Firstsource develop an innovative community based solution for managing member contact.
