Delinquent landowners rapped

LONDONDERRY landowners were served with nine formal notices under public health protection legislation by Derry City Council between April and June.

The council’s latest report from the Chief Environmental Health Officer shows abatement notices were served on landowners of properties at Margaret Street, Abercorn Place, Galliagh Park and Beechwood Avenue.

Equally, landowners of properties at Branch Road, Galliagh Park, Crawford Square, Strand Road and Elmwood Terrace were rapped across the knuckles for presiding over ruinous and dilapidated buildings.
