“I would like to pay tribute to all those involved in the delivery of the Peace Bridge and Ebrington Square in making them such a great success. The bridge has attracted almost 4.5 million crossings since it opened in June 2011, and provided a gateway to Ebrington Square for globally recognised events such as Peace One Day, Radio 1’s Big Weekend and MTV Crashes”.

The Peace Bridge opened on June 25, 2011, followed by Ebrington Square on 14th February 2012. Both projects have become an integral part of the city, and contribute to the ongoing regeneration of the city.
