The Alzheimer’s Society is holding a Dementia Information Programme will be held in The Sandel Centre, Coleraine on Thursday, February 4 from 2.30- 4.00pm and thereafter each Thursday afternoon on February 11th, 18 and 25th.

The programme is: February 4: An overview of Dementia- Sean Doherty NHSCT/What is Dementia?- Helen Taylor: February 11: Planning for the future - Adrian Friel; February 18: Dementia Research- Debbie Rainey, Justine McCann and Aine Wallace; February 25: Benefits and Tax Information - Sharon Anderson and Brian Stewart.

The course has been designed with the practical needs of the carer in mind. The sessions will run in an informal, relaxed atmosphere and there will be an opportunity to ask questions and talk with other carers over a cup of tea.

The sessions are free and open to the public who are interested in finding out more dementia. The areas’ Support Worker Helen Taylor will be present at each meeting to facilitate and offer information, signposting and support.
