Deputy Mayor: Record breaking crowds at Ballymoney switch on

Deputy Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, councillor Darryl Wilson says he was delighted to see what appeared to be a record breaking crowd at the Christmas lights switch in Ballymoney on Thursday night.

The UUP man said: “The repositioning of the stage, some additional festive lighting, along with a few other logistical changes made for a very entertaining and enjoyable family event.

“We are always striving for continual improvement and are already looking towards next year’s event. I would like to commend Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council staff for the fantastic work.

“The kids from the Causeway Downs syndrome support group were centre stage for the main event and in my opinion stole the show and outshone the beautiful lights which they helped to switch on.
