Derriaghy WI enjoy fun with felt night
THE President of Derriaghy WI Pat Allen, gave members a warm welcome to the first meeting of the new season. The theme for the evening was ‘Fun with Felt’ and speaker Michelle Mairs organised a workshop at which members designed and made felt brooches.
The competition for a pretty brooch was won by Leta McDermott with Ann Farr and Jennifer Murray in second and third pace. The birthday girls for August and September were Betty Mackinnon and Yvonne Brett. Derriaghy WI meets on the first Friday on every month at 7.30pm in the Parochial Hall at Derriaghy Parish Church and new members will be most welcome.
