Derry fire crews deal with road crash

Fire and Rescue Service crews in Derry had to remove the roof from a car following a crash involving the car and a lorry.

It is not known at this stage how many people were involved in the accident, or whether anyone was injured.

Motorists were advised to avoid the Foyle Bridge following the crash which took place shortly before 4pm on the Madam’s Bank Road.

The PSNI warned of long tailbacks in the area as a result of the crash and appealed to motorists to use alternative routes if possible. It is understood traffic is now flowing more freely.
