Derry man urinated on floor of Dungannon bus depot

A man who exposed himself and urinated over the floor of Dungannon bus depot has been given jail time for indecent behaviour at Dungannon Magistrates Court.

Kieran Damian Breslin, 34, of St Columbs Wells. Derry was charged with the offence following an incident on October 30, 2012. A court heard how police were called to attend the bus depot after a report of a man causing a disturbance. Police noticed a male in the depot waiting area and observed a pool of urine on the floor and smelt urine from the defendant. He appeared to be intoxicated and a staff member reported that before police arrived he had been kicking the bench seats and had removed his penis from his trousers and had urinated over the floor and himself. The staff member reported that members of the public could clearly see the defendant urinating.

A defence solicitor for Mr Breslin said her client apologises for the incident and has ‘significant’ issues with alcohol. Mr Breslin is currently serving an 11 month sentence for other offences. District Judge John Meehan said it was ‘a particularly bad incident’ and sentenced him to 1 month in prison and fined him £25.
